The padding is good. I get wind noise but nothing unbearable. I use earphones on occasion and I can hear my music pretty good going highway speeds with this helmet.

I bought a childs size Fulmer helmet, tore out the lining, and velcroed a halfshell beanie helmet inside it instead. I lose D.O.T. safety but I have a 3/4 helmet that fits close to my head and does'nt look like a mushroom. Be sure to cut the straps off the beanie helmet.

Main thing I wanted was the ear protection of a 3/4 as I don't ride with a windshield and for it to be close fitting. I also just wanted to see if it would work.

Motoflake

I have a Motoflake and a Daytona helmet. The Motoflake is much nicer and is the first DOT helmet that is not a mushroom or space helmet.

There are rumors on Chop Cult that Biltwell will be releasing a DOT helmet by Xmas. Just a heads up!!

^ Think I tried one of these on in Helmet Harbor once - it was absolutely horrid. Melon-headed and bug-eyed is the only way I can think of to describe it. Not to mention quite heavy.

Good for a nice laugh though.
