Just to clear things up a bit...sorry, I must confuse easy.
The Burly kit you used; was that for the front, rear, or both? Guess I'm not sure if you are recommending to not lower the front, period. Or, if you are simply saying to save my money for the real deal in the rear.
Take their word for it on the lowering front. I have researched this til blue in the face, and all of the experienced spring lovers say the same thing,,, "Looks cool. rides like ****". +1000 on the air ride thoguh....My bike is lowered in the back by what I think is 2" (previous owner's mod,,,new bike to me) and the rake and trail isn't hosed at all. Rides silky smooth...even better when I can afford a Fournales front shock A future mod for me is definitely the shotgun shock air ride...they look b1tch1n' and they provide the best of both worlds...more rise for 2-up and travel gear, and that draggin' *** look when I'll be riding solo. Let us know what you do...and take pics!
Huh...well, I'm surprised. Most people that go with that style rear fender lower the bike. However, I think it looks really good. You are tempting me to just leave my suspension alone all together! What fender kit did you use?
Your bike does look great. It has "personality" with a splash of panache.
I thought long and hard about lowering it...
every time I have (other bikes) it seems to degrade the ride...
The Rear Fender is from Shadetree Fab.
I have had fairly good luck with Kyle's stuff....

Thanks for the compliment...

I was thinking it looked like a Shadetree...
What did you use to lower your other bikes? From what I know, if I went with Progressives to lower the bike, it should still feel the same, if not better. Even lowered by 2 inches.

Thank you for sharing the picture. The bike looks SWEET! I love it. That just makes me want to lower my bike. With the stock fender on there, I hate that "dirtbike" look...I need to push that fender in close to the tire.
-A little off topic, but how tall are your bars? And, how comfortable would you consider them to be for a long ride? I'm still debating between going with 14" or 16"...just can't seem to decide. I need to, though, before winter hits.
