Looks like I'm only going to get about 8k out of original rear tire(2010 Deluxe) and was thinking of putting a Metzeller88 Marathon Mu85B-16 77h on. I like the wide whitewall and this appears to be only choice other than Dunlops.
Any input on the Metz.would be appreciated. What kind of milage and are there any handling issues can I expect with of Metz.88? I ride very tame and thought I would get at least 10k out of rear tire.
Thanks
There's been a lot of good reviews on the Dunlop E3 over in the touring forum. I don't have any experience with the Metz but with the info on the E3 it's going to be my next tire.
A lot of riders like the ME 880 for the extrea traction they give. They are a softer tire so more stick to te road but you will get less mileage out of them than you did the Dunlops.
Ive tried them did not seem to make much difference over my Dunlops so I went back to Dunlops. I have a set of Avon Venoms in the garage Im going to try next.
