90's Softail Throttle cable length HELP!!
90's Softail Throttle cable length HELP!!
Can some one tell me the length of a stock throttle cable for a softail?
Im building a ground up custom and ordered 8"+ for my 14" APES.
I had one cable on my old bike that was 48" long Throttle bend to cable end slug at Carb.
with short bars it was fine and with the APES it rubs the tank when bars are turned full left on the new ride.
The cable I was sent is the same flippen length. I was expecting alot longer.
If I knew the stock length than I could have a better idea what the heck Im talking about when I order the cables I need.

The frame is a 2008 MID USA frame 2" Stretch 3* Rake and the motor is a 97 EVO with a S&S Super E.
the bars are 14" 1 1/4 Chubby. Low Risers
So a 48" length is well over stock than.
I need another 10" to trap to the bars and make it clean.
That sucks!!!!
