How do I get this exhaust bracket off? As you can see I no longer need it. I am guessing that the swingarm bolt comes off? Can I just take that bolt out easily? Any help would be awesome! Sorry about the dark and dirty picture.
Mine is a 96. And I am pretty sure there's two separate bolts holding the swingarm in. That is why I am asking if I take one out with the swingarm get a ****-eyed in the frame. Guess I'll just have to try. Just thought someone here would know....
Have you ever pull it out? I have the same need and can not find the instruction anywhere.
I've done it several times. There are 2 bolts holding the swing arm on. You can take the one side out to remove the exhaust mount. First, the bike has to be level. The back wheel must be sitting on the ground, but not have the weight of the bike on it. Remove the bolt and the mount. The swing arm should be where it needs to be to reinstall the bolt. If it's off a little you can move the swing arm around to line it up. Tighten the bolt and you're good to go.
