I want longevity. The compression is going to be a true 9.4-1 or 9.5-1 on advice of Bog Boyz. this thing has to last me a long, long time. Apparently the compression listed by Harley on this kit is 9.4-1 but it is really a 9.2-1 according to my source at big Boyz. His jsudgement is trusted by me.
Drew, are you going with the SE 95" Kit and having your stock heads done by Big Boyz or having your stock jugs bored to 95" and matching pistons? I will eventually build my motor too. I'm not in a position to trade in on a new model, and I can't leave anything alone for long (I'm sure you can relate).
Also, are you running a PCIII? I am, but had a local indy give me a 10 minute disertation today on why he will never put a PCIII on a harley, blah, blah, blah...

I am doing the S/E kit and having Big Boyz do the heads. I will ahve an S/E air clenaer for sale in teh near future as it coems with the kit and I do not need. I will be selling it cheap! $80 plus shipping! Hit me up for it before it is gone.
As far as the pcIII issue, I have talked to quite a few people with the same opinion as it is a piggyback blah, blah blah, but have never had an issue and cannot see a reason to shell out $500 more for another tuner when this one works great. My pcIII is actually a pcIIIR which is a serial cable port as opposed to the USB port on teh newer ones, but it does the job for me.
I am hoping to gain 10HP and 15 tq. If I get that I am a happy man, although nubmers really don't mean anything, it is how the bike rides. I ahve been thinking about doing this for a long time and the final jsutification is that my bike is already down and it has a fair amount of miles (52K) on it. Why not.
As everyone here knows I am unable to leave my bike alone either. If I get new stuff for it every so often, life is good.
Good to know. I am anxious to here about your results b/c a SE 95" kit and big boyz heads might be the route I go as well. Seems cost effective and I'm not trying to pull stumps out of the ground. As far as the PCIII goes, it works fine now so I don't see spending the extra cash on the Super Tuner, TTS, etc.
I'm with you on the tuner thing. IF it ever craps out I'll get something different but until then...it's staying. 4 years and counting...and I bought it used on ebay for $80. LOL.
Keep us posted Drew... i'd like to know if you feel a huge difference... I's got some plans in the future...
**** eaten grins in Drew's future. If you thought the D+D sounded good before....... Why didn't you use the 98" pistons? Was there that big a difference in price?
There was enough difference between it happening now and later on down the road. I figured I'll get it done now as opposed to waiting. Instant gratification has taken over.
