Is it possible to put a heel-toe shifter on a 2008 Fxstc.

I'm not sure what you mean. There are no sprockets in a Harley shift assy. The lever from an FLHX will fit, but you need that DS p/n listed in my other post to get the replacement inner shift arm with the longer spline shaft.

As long as it's intended for a big-twin... correct. Sportsters have a different spline count. A 1-piece shifter (like the Dewey's Heel Hammer or the Tejas Thump Cycles unit) costs a lot more than than a replacement inner shift arm though (less than $10 as I recall), and you should be able to get an FLH shift lever for free, since so many dresser owners remove their heel shifter.
