Default lowered softtails...

Has anyone seen the Progressive Suspension 422 ad with the lowered softtail standard? I have seen these ad's with the lowered bikes but do their kits really lower the front end like that without any other changes? Or is this just a ad to sell their products? Has anyone tried this kit and got the same results without modifications? Sorry about all the questions but I haven't had my coffee yet!!!

i thought the 442s were for the rear?

if were talkin about the front, I have the progressive drop in kit with at least a 2" drop and it was very easy to install.

if were talkin about the rear, just save you money and buy a platinum air ride kit.

I'm sure whatever ad Progressive has for the 422's also shows the bike lowered in the front with either the drop-in kit or the standard lowering kit for the front fork. They want to sell that too, so when you buy the 422's you realize that you need the front lowering kit too in order for your bike to look like the one in the ad.

I know there are people who like their 422's, but personally, I would either go with lowering bolts for the cheap option or save for either the platinum air ride or the shotgun shocks.

I had 422's in mine but went with a Shotgun Airride and nothing beats it, best ride I've had with the bike. If you want it low now buy a bolt kit and save your $$ till you can afford the airride

Thanks for the reply guys, I understand that the 422's are for the rear, I was only stating that the softtail standard in the ad had a lower front end also and the only one that I ever seen like that had 2" shorter tubes installed and the ones in the harley parts book.

vl,

progressive has at least two kits for softail front ends. theres the regular kit where the whole shock comes apart. then theres the drop in kit like i have. You just pull the top of the shock out and replace the springs and such. Good luck, and let me know if you have any questions.
