The beginning of the thread on the port is damage. Will a threading tool fix to the 18mm? Or will I have to buy bigger plug. Really has plugs for 2.50.
You ought to be able to pick up an 18mm tap. It should clean it up the threads enough to plug it. Otherwise, you'll probably have to jump to a 20mm tap/plug. You'll also have to drill out the hole to the proper diameter before you run that 20mm tap through it. Lets hope you don't have to go that route.
Oh...almost forgot...get two copper 18mm gaskets for your plugs. Again anti-sieze!! And a little Permatex gasket tack (not silicone!!) between the gasket/plug faces will ensure a good seal.
