Default slip on mufflers

has anyone ever put the Cycle Shack slash-cut slip-on mufflers on a 08 fatboy with the stock head pipes? if so were they easy to put on and how did you like the sound? and will the stock heat shields fit a pic would be nice if you have any thanks .

Have not done those, but did rush slip ons. The biggest pita was getting the stock ones off. Need to be somewhat of a contortionist to get those damn bolts off. But, it can be done.

I really like the blue on your bike , but it could be that it looks like my bike.

I love the stock look of my '07 Heritage, but I like a little rumble too. I ordered a set of American Customs yesterday, & kept the stock mufflers in case I want to change back. We'll see I guess.

got them today will try to put them on sat .if i pull the bolt for the pass peg and the muffler clamps will the stockers come off that way or is there more that i have to get off first?

sometimes you can use a little soapy water once the clamps are loose. work them off by "walking" them and spraying the soapy water on them...

if anybody is interested, i have a set of screamin' eagle slash cuts to fit this model.
