I have a 05 heritage softail and was wondering if anybody knew how to get the saddlebags back into shape? They are not really too bad, but would like to get the top of the bags back to their original shape if possible.
They doe a great job at pushing them back into shape and keeping them there. I have not done the lids yet, because they suggest not doing it above 60° due to the quick setup time of the epoxy for the lid, but the rest worked great, I have no reason to believe the top wouldn't also. Worth the price to me.
Boss Bags does a great job. The bags are even lockable when they are done with them. My brother did his in 2006 and they still look great. His bike even went down a few weeks ago and the bag supported it so well that the tank and primary didn't get damaged. If I bought a new Heritage today that would be the first mod I'd do.
Holy Crap $200 for the kit? PLUS $35 shipping? I thought mine was expensive at $117
u own a Harley everything is expensive bur i can tell you this Boss bags is a great product. In saying that you need to buy some saddle soap and mink oil from a local horse/western store that will keep them looking new.
I got boss bags stiffening kit installed at sturgis this year. Bags look brand new regarding sags/shape. Like casey said add some mink oil and they look fresh from the factory
