I just noticed on my '06 FLSTCI, the black covering on the plastic throttle/idle cables is cracked and showing the steel underneath. It is where the cables bend when completing a full right turn of the handlebars. Also, the front brake cable is marring the right side of the chrome side cover. This should not happen, so do you think the dealer installed (ran) the cables wrong? Before calling the dealer on Tuesday, I thought I would ask you guys.
i had this same problem on my bike , on the right side of the bars , where it goes through the square clip. the dealer ordered me new cables ,and installed them , its under warrenty... i bent my clip a little , so it wont rub as hard on it, its been ok since.
