I recently had Burly 16's installed on my 06 Heritage and love them. I'm around 5,11 and also have the Mustang seat with rider back rest on my bike for back issues. The 16's are a huge improvement over the stock bars and are as confortable as hell.Oh and they look cool as well.
Thanks for all the great info. I'm 5'11", I'll try the broom stick thing tonight. It'll be winter before I actually get my apes. I'll let you all know what I go with.
Get a broom handle, and sit on your bike. Hold it at the height that is comfortable for you and have someone measure the rise from the riser. I like my apes 16" tall. I am not tall either. I have run 12.5"'s and 16"'s and the 16"'s are much more to my liking.
