RSD Riser torque
Do ya'll think the torque on a set of RSD springer riders would be the same as the stockers specs in the service book? I find myself leaning forward too much onthe xbones, and after a long ride this weekend I thought I would give a little bar movement a try. 
I would think it would work. I would hope with as much as they cost, they could put up with a little more even. The stockers are 15 to 18 ft lbs. Mine are right in the middle at 16.5 and I get no slipping....

They can loosen after long rides. I check my risers every once in a while and one is always loose. Snug it up!

On the subject of risers, I just switched handlebars to 16" Wild One apes. The stock Cross Bone risers suck. I've already got one heli-coil in from torquage, drilled the caps and put riv-nuts on the inside of the handle bars and secured with an 8/32 screw, and they are still not as tight as I would like. Does anyone make a set of springer risers that aren't make out of cheap pot metal (like stock) and will hold the apes secure?

Yea I having the same type of issues - just put 16's on my 99 FXSTS using the stock 4" risers - if I tork to spec it's just not enough to really hold them - I thinking of doing a set screw in each riser or trying some red loc-tight where the bars contact the risers.
Using stock bushings - ok with the movement - may go to poly.
Need to study it more to decide how I want to do the set screw.
Don't know of any other risers to get.

I havent had any slippage with my RSD risers but I know some that put a small strip of grip tape around the knurling of the bars...teflon tape might work to (havent done that though). If anyone is looking for RSD bars or risers - Im still selling mine in the classifieds!
