I am looking at changing the exhaust on my 07 Fatboy. I like the look of the older chrome side pipes on the early Corvettes, the kind where you can see the primary tubes come from behind the front tire and turn into a solid chrome sidepipe with a turnout just before the back tire. Not the kind with the ribbed heat shield. I did a Google search for Harley Davidson Sidepipes Turnout and came across the RB Racing site. The site is extremely informative and they realy seem to know exactly what they are doing and the LSR 2-1 pipe is just what I am looking for. Does anyone have these on their bike and what do you think.
That's funny, I didn't think about that. One characteristic that I was hoping for was for the pipes to have a deep note and a somewhat lower volumn so when I leave the neighborhood early in the morning, I don't wake everyone up but when I crack the throttle it will sound off.
I love how it sounds! It's pretty mellow if you don't get on it too hard but when you nail it hard it barks pretty good. Fit and finish are top notch. My black hasn't weathered too bad but I've heard chrome holds up real well. Just don't be in too big of a hurry to get one. They are made to order and take awhile and the more you call and bug them it seems the slower they get.
Not terribly loud at idle but a twist of the wrist really makes it come alive.
My buds tell me there's a spot beside me they don't like to be for very long.
It'll make lots of cagers roll up their windows at stop lights.

I run a B-style and a C-style won't run anything else.On a stock motor they aren't real loud except when you hammer them.On a built motor they can be obnoxiously loud.
I like the look of the B style a little better than the C. Which ones do you like best? I will be running a bone stock 07 Fatboy except for what computer adjustments I'll need to make the exhaust system work. I want the pipes to be a little louder than stock at low RPMs. I live in an older well established neighborhood with residents who have been here forever, I can't be a pain in the A$$ when I ride the bike to work early in the morning. If I can idle out with no issues then that's cool, and If I can crack the throttle to let the car people know that I'm near them, then that's even better.
Do the air cleaner also. You won't have any noise issues keeping the r's down. The b-style.Get the heat shields if you order, they make them for each set of pipes.Like the above says be patient after you order they are made to order.G.

I will definetly get a different air cleaner. Do you have fuel injection and if so what had to be done to the computer system on the bike? Do the pipes come with the software adjustments needed?
