Well I had a shock bolt brake off in the swing arm so decided to take it off and get it fixed. The bolt was a pain in the ars... I had to just make a whole new bracket for the shocks. So when I had the plasma and MIG out I decided to make the splash guard easier to mount and make the bike slam a little lower. Hope to have the bike back on the road later this week.
fireman--
Ive never had mine off, so Im not sure what it looks like--can you tell me what you did? What is different in these pics?
I see where youve done some ginding, it looks like, but Im missing the mods.
How will it change things?
The swing arm strikes the bump stop and that is what I modified. You see in first picture that the pipe has a flat spot in it now? That is where the swing arm hits the bump stop. I took about 1/2" of the pipe out. And I also had to grind on the side plates so they do not contact the oil tank.
