Well I took off the bob tail and put on a fat boy fender I think it looks great but is it normal that the sides of the wheels are real close and tight to the fender ? I can barley fit my finger between the tire and the fender . Went for a little ride ... 26 deg outside and it does not appear to rub ? This normal ? Also installed the 16'' apes . All together took 5 hours . Not to bad for my first mods and first Harley .
Bad pic but you get the idea . I have had the bike for 3 weeks now . Have not gotten to ride yet because its so cold .
Here is a pic of what I have done so far .. APES AND FENDER .
Here is one when I got it 3weeks ago . It had drag bars on it and of course the bob tail fender .
It's fine to have the tire close to the edge. Check to make sure nothing else rubs too when you get a chance to ride. I like the full fender much better.
Ya I went for a short cold ride . No rub at all just wanted to make sure it was ok .
Thanks guys
Looks good...I know how you feel with the cold...I worked my side job today and froze my *** off all day today in Va....gotta pay $$ for those mods tho---
