Mine doesn't yet, but I'm hoping. We have 3 or 4 friends that she's friends with the wives and right now only one of the women rides. One is gettig over being sick and the other is having her second kid. My sister-in-law, when she gets better is going to ride with my brother, and Maria has her license, she'll be riding on her own again. I'm hoping that my wife will feel left out when the other three women are riding 1 or two up . She's 5'2" and about 120, not sure she could handle a Delux but you never know. If she rode, with me I'd have an excuse to get a bike we could ride two up, so maybe have an RK and the Deuce.
I love the Delux right outta the box. You add some bling and those like wide 80 or more spoke wire wheels, bike in blue and white or black and white and BAM Smokin D-lux...
OK first I think all HD's are cool but he did ask for our opinion so this is mine and I'm not trying to pi$$ in anyones cornflakes here. The Deluxe is a nice bike but to pretty for a young buck such as your self. Most keep them stock looking with a few add-ons but they still all look the same, pretty and bright (not that there is anything wrong with that). I see more custom dueces (some deadly ones on this thread) but still see that as more of a pretty bike sort of a sister bike to the Deluxe, again pretty and bright. The Dyna WG they look very cool when tricked out, a bikers bike, big potential for attitude. The standard, well thats a poor mans bike and I'm a poor man, in your case lots of cash left over for major custom work or road trips and parties. Like someone said if you can afford a Deluxe why would you look at a Standard. The only aggresive looking ride HD makes right out of the box would be the Train and would totally be what you want for your age. It is bad a$$ and keeps looking meaner as you add to it, that is one bike you can not make look pretty, just plain nasty, attitude, have not seen a NT I didn't like.
So good luck with your delema and sorry if I offended anyone, we all have opinions.
Hello, I´m a new HD biker, just bought a 06 Deluxe a couple of months ago. I like the bike, but I´m 22 and want something less classic and a bit more agressive,
By the looks I like the Softail Duece, the Softail Standard or the Dyne Wide Glide.
Can anyone help me make a better decision about one of those three?
Thanks o lot!!

Given this a second thought. Why not just get the new custom paint job for the deluxe. It has silver flames on a blue background. It will look plenty aggressive. You will be out ahead dollar wise and you will have a unique bike.
To make the Deluxe look like Nikons and Teshores u will spend close to 15 k in parts and God knows how much in labor.
Out of the ones mentioned I think the Deuce is the more agressive looking, but to make it really stand out, once again ure dropping major cash.
The Train is sick and if I didnt have the cash to go all out then that is the one for you. She looks mean as hell right out of the crate.
But, if you wanna go really sick and not come close to the 35k plus price tags of custom Deluxes and Deuces, then your other choice is the SE Springer. Why--Ill tell ya why. That frond end is special and rare, that 110 is intoxicating, the paint is like no other bike on the road(most likely), the new rear just looks mean, and finally those drag bars--thick and agressive, just what a young lad like yourself needs. The Springer is special and is in a class of its own. Just my 2 choders.

I totally disagree. I guess that is why they make so many models. But to me the Night Train is about the ugliest motorcycle made. I would buy a Honda or Yamaha over it any day. Vespa even.
i had the same dilema as you did last year. for me it was between the wide glide and softail standard. they do look similiar. for my 5'8" frame the softail standard fit me perfect. on the wide glide i was a little to streched out. i fell in love with the 200 tire, wider rear fender, fat bob tank and the sitting position was perfect for me. not to mention the wide glide was alot more money. the deuce was never an option for me, i also didn't like the rear fender, stretched tank and the seating position. the only thing that bothered me about the standard was the silver engine. when i bought my bike there was no softail custom. however i definately like my handlebars better than the customs. just my opinion, good luck with your choice. pat
