Thanks for all the kind words.
Could not have done it with the support from the "Softail Crew".
What's next you ask, no idea. I have a couple things on the list but don't know just yet what is next. I'd like to upgrade the intake but just can't figure out what I want.
BTW, the sun is shinning here in SoCal, got to get the brake bled and go for a Christmas Eve ride...
Hopefully ya got it figured out by now and are out tear'n up the roads.
BUT have you or did you open the Clutch Cover and adjust the Clutch Adjuster Screw? I didn't see that in your wright up. Looks like something ya gotta do per my 07 Softail manual .

Good luck and let us know how it goes.
Ron
Thanks Ron. I am looking at my 10 manual, just can't seem to figure it out. There is no slack at all in the cable and the adjusters are all the way together. Guess I'll spend Christmas Day working on it.
I also found and watched a few videos on the subject, I hope to figure it out tomorrow.
Just started installing 16" chubbys today, got the tank off and drained the front brake fluid... Will continue tomorrow. One question I have - has anyone installed clutch cable without removing pipes? Have big radius 2-2, there seems to be a little clearance behind the pipes to remove the trans cover, but not sure it's enough.

Lets see some pics...
I don't know about those pipes but I dropped my right pipe.
Good thing about duels.
Let me know how your clutch cable install goes, I'm having issues with mine.
Awesome write up. Thanks for the info and pictures, I'm switching from drags to apes as soon as I can get some time. I'll definitely be using this thread as a reference. Did you figure out the clutch cable dilemma?
