Can someone tell me what guage wire they used to extend the wires for
the coil plug?
When I cut the plug off the end, I took it in and eyeballed it with wires at the store. I'm pretty sure it was 16 and 18. It may have been 18 and 20. I threw the boxes out or I would look. One of the wires looks a little bigger than the others on the plug.
Here's my take on this.... Flame horn cover used as a coil cover. Gonna mount the cowbell in the front behind the front wheel. I'll post pics when I'm done tomorrow... here's a taste....

I was going to mount my cow bell between the forks but was
Afraid I might disrupt the air coming in to cool the engine.
What do you think?
Did mine last weekend. Easy job really. I will try post pics later today but I ended up using the stock coil cover and cut off the mounting part from the seat post. Until I decide on a cover, it looks fine. Went with USkoolines and like them alot.
Looks a ton better with the seat post gone.

Didn't really think about disrupting air flow, but now that I do (thanks) I"m not too worried about it. The fender is right in front of where it's going, and the toolbag is blocking air too.... My engine temp never goes above 210 even in the dead of summer. I'll keep an eye on it in summertime and rethink it if it goes up too much.
www.exilecycles.com makes a kit to relo the horn and coil in front of the splash guard. I think they are $100 each, a bit steep for me, so I'm planning on using all the new info from this thread and do it myself! Thanks guys!
The new black line has a relocated coil.i wonder if you can buy the part? God knows how much.it's about the only thing i like about the cheap night train rip off
Just relocated my coil to the horn location and put a new air horn where the coil was previously located. Looks much better than the ugly Denali air horn would of looked .
