Best way to take off rims and tires
I need to get my tires off and take to my local guy so the new WW's can be installed .
I have looked at lifts and plan to get one after x-mas but need to get the tires done now
What is the best way to get the bike up to take them off . And taking them off is that pretty easy ? Tips or explanations welcomed .

Because I need to get the bike put back together so the wife can park in the garage .
My dealer wants 150 bucks to do it
I have a truck that has 9" of lift and no trailer
I am mechanically inclined that is why I asked !

If you can't borrow a lift from a pal, pay the dam shop to do it. (A local independant shop, not a highway robbery dealership).
C'mon man, don't you realize how much damage can happen if that bike hits the ground? How would that make you feel if it happenned?
You can go one step further and buy a bike lift (not that expensive) and justify it by subtracting the amount you saved by the first usage of it.
There are no shortcuts without risk!

no more questions. If you attempt the rear wheel removal without a lift, you will either F'up your bike or yourself.

That's a great deal. Up here is about $100 to get a tire mounted and balanced if the wheel is still on the bike.

Don't do it. Your wife will make a habit out of it. Garages are for bikes. After I got my second, I had to boot her out of the garage.
