there is a few points to consider when using the cups.......
1-you need to have a little fork stop block welded in, no big deal and really easy to do.....you can also get an internal stop....
2-the fork lock didn't work afterwards...not a big deal to me as i use a disc lock.
3-they move your triple clamps away from each other an inch os so....i liked it better afterwards though

Deuce Dude, did you change the lenth of the forks or the tripple trees or is everything else stock on the front end, no handleing problems, I'm interested in the same thing for my 2001 Softail standard.

you drive or cut out the old bearing races and the raked ones press into the place where the race used to be.......pretty simple really. the hardest part is getting the old bearing races out of the stock neck, i used a dremel.

ok now we are getting somewhere!

i went to the perse calculator and put in the raked cups as if the neck was raked 3*
comes up no good with just a little too much trail

did the same with 3* raked trees and comes up perfect

did it the calculations with 3* cups AND 3* trees also comes up OK

now i am not looking for anything radical like 7* or 5*...........so i feel safe trying 3*

how do you install the cups? just drive out the old ones?

do i need to change anything with my fork lock or fork stops if i am using just 3* cups?

also can somebody describe the front fork fall away test for me? i have both service manuals but they are a little vague
