?

The last few model years of all the FXSTxx variants all have 32 degree rake necks and nothing mentioned about more rake achieved through the trees.

Although the night train is 13mm longer than the Standard? WTF?

I tried some 6* trees to see the difference and the bikes handling was affected too much so I went back to 3*I have also lowered the rear 2" and added 2" over tubes. All in all, a nice balance that changes the stance of the bike a bit, but not radically so and definately is very easy to ride. I Changed the treed to blind top tres which was a trip as the cups spread the trees apart and required machining a longer neck bolt. Some fun!!!
That is exactly what I have been thinking of doing on my 02 FXSTI. It makes sense that the 2 would cancel out as far as trail is concerned. I hae just been too much of a chicken $hit to do it already. Do you notice any differences in ride quality at high speed? Do you have any pics that you could send me before I go ahead with this? I would really appreciate it.

I put 5 degree trees on my 06 standard and have no problems at 120 mph so id say they aint to bad. Alot of companies put raked trees on there bikes and well I guess they work if there still selling them and still in business. You also got to take into consideration of should you go with longer fork tubes etc.
