Harley dealers want to push baggers, the most expensive bikes they can sell? The ones with the most add-on accessories? Hard to imagine.

I'm sure baggers are taking a bigger market share, but 90%? If that was true, Harley would shut down the Softail, Dyna, and Sporty lines !

All dealers are the same wether they be car or bike dealers..... When your trading in a vehicle they have a ton of reasons why it's not worth market value and when your buying that same item off the lot the next day it's the best and most popular thing since the coming of Christ !

Not true nation wide, might be true in his case...but I doubt it.
Just look at HD website. It shows you ther number of models shipped by HD to the dealers. Touring makes up one third.....it is almost equal to the amount of Dynas, softails and vrsc combined. No doubt the touring models sell the most......but no where near 90%. They make up a third almost every year since 2005. Look at the COMPANY tab and go to investor relations...look for shipment numbers....

What do you guys think of that?

I Think 90% is way overerxaggerated .. Is no doubt the Touring Frame is the backbone of Harley .. But Other Styles are popular too .. The 2 Local dealers in my area Can't keep a Heritage or 48 on their floor more than a few days and it's gone ..

Touring bikes are in right now but i still see a lot of Softails...i don't think they are going away...I would like to get one as a 2nd bike. It would save a lot of miles on my Dresser. Plus the Heritage is such a sweet looking bike...to me probably the best looking bike ever made. I have the FLHTC for Distance.

Default No beating the versatility of a Softail, 03 FLSTC below:

Try removing or installing a fairing on a touring model in under 3 seconds…
Saddlebags also… nice having a convertible.

As long as I have the Softail I want, I could care less if they sell anymore.
The less they sell, the more unique the bike is.
