i was thinking about this earlier and how it may or may not work, figured id get our gears turning. ill use a Deluxe as an example. Softbrake mounts the lic plate below the turn signal bar, right? how bout changing the turn signal bar to the one of a road/street glide? it shines from the bottom, maybe a little work and it should fit fine.... at least in my mind, what say you fellow Softy riders?

I had the same issue with my Softail. I ended up cutting a hole in the bottom of the lens to allow light to shine downwards. Then glued a piece of clear plastic over the hole. Worked great. Used a hot exacto knife for the hole.
Good luck.
My suggestion to them would be to make the plate bracket a U shape at the top and bolt on to the same three holes the tombstone does. That way you don't go through the hassle under the fender
I used two bolts with LED lights ($12). I know nothing about running the electric and I did it pretty easily.
