FXCW, LED Bulbs in the front flickering
Hello. Im new to this fourm and I just bought a 08 Blue Rocker C. Not to get off topic but, I was reading this post and saw phantoms BLK Rocker and how he ran his turn signals. I was wondering how he ran them?
Hey Hot Wire !!!,
How ya been ? Haven't heard from ya in a while. Hope things are good up there...
I moved my lights last summer and so far so good. I spliced in my extensions at the controls and fed them thru the bars and down the LH frame tube. I soldered and heat shrank everything. I bought a roll of heat shrink and some 4 conductor wire, (like trailer
wire) stripping off the one I didn't need. I also ran the two, (three wires each) thru heat shrink. I used a heat gun for good temp control and it turned out better than I'd hoped. I also made sure my stock lights were well grounded. That's where I think your issues are... proper grounding.
I had asked you about moving them on your page it was your response gave me courage to tackle the project. Since moving them, I've had lots of positive comments, (they do look kinda cool down there especially at night).
Hope all this helps... good connections, proper grounding and as mentioned earlier, good bulb contact along with dielectric grease on the bulbs should take care of the problem...
As a side note, do any of the othe lights blink or pulsate to the engine beat ? If so a charging system check may be in order ...
Best of Luck and Ride safe,
TIILM

Hoping to change to gloss black housings soon...
