I know it has been awhile since anyone posted on this thread but I would like to hear how the ride is compared to just the stock softail. I am considering getting another fatboy/heritage and doing this.
I have ridden every different model harley has except vrod and I don't know if my *** is not as tuned as some peoples but I could not tell a big difference in the suspension between my road king and my old fatboy. In fact the one street glide I rode was a worse ride than my fatboy from suspension standpoint. I have never ridden a road glide but have always heard it is best bike for long rides.
I like the feel of sitting in that softail frame and the way it handles twisties.
