is that a piggy back tuner or does it write directly to the ECM? I have a 08 Road Glide with Rineharts - thinking of air and tuner. thanks.
It's not a piggy back tuner. It flashes the stock ECM. You just save the factory map on the unit and load the custom map from the unit. It can holds up to 6 maps.
Call me a dumb-*** but if it's flashing or 'using' the stock ECM, doesn't that mean it's a 'piggy-back system? I'm considering this unit but have also looked at the Thundermax which is a 'stand alone' unit. (Original ECM is removed) Be gentle in your responses...I'm on a learning curve that resembles a parking lot.

Nope, it only means that the unit is connected to the ECM in order to upload (or flash) the new ECM parameters to the ECM (or download the existing map thats on it), once done, you disconnect it.
So I realize the Power Vision has alot of Bells and Whistles and doesn't require a computer to Flash. But really without an Auto-Tune feature like the T-Max which Tunes while you are actually riding , is the Power Vision that really far ahead of the HD SERT? So I don't have a little fancy screen that shows me things about my bike. I want to ride not be distracted by watching a screen... My Stock Map is long gone and will never need it but I have copies of my current Map and any other ones I have made changes to.
In any event I'll be reading and watching to see how this withstands the test of time and what bugs and issues arise if any... There are no magic devices out there...

I got it because it seemed really easy to use. The price was ok (comparable to TTS mastertune). My understanding is I can leave the unit on the bike and collect data to refine the map just like TTS . It comes with software that you load on a laptop to access all the functionality.
There is an optional autotune module with wide band sensors that will be released soon that can tune the bike while riding.
There is a huge thread about this system that was started last November in the Touring forum. Lots of info, lots of questions answered by both Dynojet and Fuel Motto.
dammm... daddy likes... i have the fuelpak by V&H i dont know why i have a feeling it could run better..
=================================================
Because she will run better,,, the less $$$ F/M systems such as the fuelpak only change the A/F ratio and not any timing events or A/F throughout the rpm range..
