I could'nt wait for the weekend so I installed it today. The process was super easy, it's all touch screen and very intuitive. Plugged it in and the unit immediately comunicated with the ECM.
I then saved the stock configuration in the unit and loaded the custom map that Fuel Moto included for my setup. The units now holds both maps (no need for a laptop although the unit comes with software that can be intalled on a laptop for richer functionality).
I then diconnected the unit and I was done.the whole process took 2 minutes. The unit can stay on the bike if I want to monitor all kinds of items.
The map that Fuel Moto sent was dead on. It feels like a different bike. It runs so much better with noticable increase in both torque and power.
I will probably experiment with the tuning options later but so far I' m very impressed with this unit.
I did not have one. I just had a Samson exhaust and stock air filter. The bike did not run very well (loss of torque and rough). I just installed a high flow air filter and the Power Vision tuner and it's night and day.
Would I get the same results with another tuner? probably but I really like how easy this one is to use. You can leave it on the bike and take it off. If you leave it on you can monitor the engine on the screen and even acess tuning features.
