Yep - It has an 883 front end with a softail rear. HD needs to stop trying to make 'custom' bikes and leave it up to us to customize..

I didn't think the blackline looked half bad if I bought one I would have to change the exhaust and handle bars before I even took the bike home. I am not sure what Harley was thinking when they put those split handle bars on the blackline I would rather have something like the black street slammers on that bike. Overall I would forget buying one for a while I figure the dealers will be running up the price on them since they are brand new out. I could barely find a dealer who would cut me a deal on my Fat Bob last summer I must have called and visited eight different dealerships and walked out real mad several times. I am sorry I am not paying over MSRP on anything I will go buy a Honda first and learn to like it!

Am I the only one that considers it a cross between a V-Rod and a softail?
It reminds me of a bike by committee.

Default My 2 Cents

I bought a FXS Blackline about 1.5 months back and have 2700 miles on it and love it. I am planing on putting a 103 Pro kit, supertrap 2 into 1 black pipes on it and changing the rear fender and putting either a 180 or 200 tire on it. I have the fear of that *** end breaking loose all the time with the added HP & TQ. As far as the ride goes I went from a 883 Iron which was my first bike and wasn't going to buy a new bike but went for a test ride and from the moment I cracked the throttle I was sold. Fuel range, tack and gear are all on the speedo. I love my bike had the first one here is Fort Myers but had to beat em up on price cause like it was said earlier they want over MSRP for the bike so I paid 16,500 and got a 500 gift card. Plus tax tag and 1295 dealer prep. But I am happy and ride the crap out of my bike cant wait to change pipes and engine mods should be interesting. One thing that is irritating is the selection of aftermarket seats ect the only one they have is the solo seat or the sundowner which looks silly but the passenger loves it. I took all the factory grips ect to all black and that really dressed it up. Will post pictures soon.

Blackline is a pretty good looking bike. Only thing that drives me nuts is the handlebars. Hopefully they come out with some decent ones you can put on it besides those to banana things you hold onto.
