I think you bought the wrong seat for your model year. The barebones are pretty specifi to bike and model year. For instance my 08 deluxe has 2 mounting points next to eachother and I had to buy the seat that fit those holes. Call them, they will help you out

This was bought directly from them after talking to Ashley on the phone. I don't mind the change in mounting location, just the fact that the hardware could be made to enhance their seat, not detract from it.
Ok now I know what you are talking about. Yes. I agree. The mounting bracket does take away from the aesthetics of the seat. I thought the same when I put one on my sportster. Doesn't look so bad on my deluxe as the stock thumb screws are wide enough to cover most of the brackets.
Their seat attaches to the single hole in the fender covered by the plastic plug. They make you buy the screw bung. I got mine on E-Bay. I flat blacked the ugly bracket and bought a black seat screw from Mustang. They should get their act together.
So, are the two front holes still accessible for my fender bib?
A shiny metal tab has to stick out from underneath the seat to reach that hole and hold the seat down. I can see what he's saying. The hardware they provide is something that can be purchased at just about any hardware store and isn't very well thought out. They also don't provide the bolt sleeve fit that hole. The stock one for the passenger seat can be used, tho.
In my case, I'm going with a custom fender that won't come pre-drilled with a hole to mount the seat, so I'm trying to think of a way to mount the seat so that the hardware won't be seen. Any ideas?
Any suggestions might help the OP with his issue, as well.
Only way i see it..... take wheel off measure and drill hole in fender where the bracket would bolt to bottom side of the seat. run a screw through fender into bottom of seat.... no visible mounting bracket. Now be PITA takin seat off haha
Earl, i think it`s just the bare bones seat that uses the single hole,i`m looking at the silhouette deluxe solo and i`m almost positive that uses the two hole mounts in the rear of the seat,so you can use the 2 hole fender bib, can you post some pics of the bare bones mounted and the hardware you used,Thanks....Earl sweet looking pipe brother,Love mine ,sounds nice....waiting for a tts tune ....no software yet for 2011 soft tails
