By the sounds of this discussion, seems I should stay away from the Screamin Eagle cam and go with another company. I just want a cam that picks up my lower and mid range as I'm not concerned with higher rpm's. When I do ride, I always ride around in a gear higher so my rpms are always low because I think the bike sounds better and deeper that way!

Just an fyi, due to the way cams come on to power, cams that improve lower/mid-range would give you only 5-10% max increase in power/torque, and the results could be un-noticeable, My personal experience, most people install cams in the winter break (including myself) and they end up forgetting the original power they had, so the judgment is never realistic.
Cams that come on with Power after 1800 rpm give you "more" increase in horse power and torque. and this will be amplified with a 2 into 1 system for sure.
I would not change cams just to change cams if this is the case, I only changed mine when I was replacing my whole chain tensioner into a new Hydraulic Setup with the new improved Oil Pump, otherwise I would leave it totally stock !.
My bike has the V&H longshots w/power commander. My tech told me that I would need a super tuner, that HD does not recommend a power commander so that is a extra 460.00 added to this price tag . I'm now realizing this whole bolt on cam comes with a big price tag now.

I would not rule out SE Products. There are many good choices in the SE Catalog for performance parts. The problem is that sometimes the SE choices are limited or more expensive. That being said , I went with SE 204 and am very happy with the choice, Id do it again. Strong power from idle up, no flat spots. Work well with stock compression and heads. Its my understang that the SE 255 work better if you have more compression. The SE 204 will pull strong with stock compression or higher.
Also its a HD part so in the event of warranty problems down the road its always easier to get service without so much hassle.
I have Andrews 26H in mine...good low end grunt...i was plesantly surprised...used SE quick install rods...did it all mysels for about $350.00 cam was slightly used but in excellent shape...hear a lot of good from the SE255.
Same here. I went with the Andrews 26h in my '07 Heritage. I was looking for more low and midrange pull especially when I was riding two up. Don't care about High end. The 26H gave me what I was looking for @ 80hp and 90tq. This is with a stage 1, PCIII and fat cat pipe. Totally happy.
KLF33 is correct. The advantage is smaller but I think it's worth it. My hp was 75 before and 83tq before. I did this during the winter months when the dealer was offering 20% off everything including a dyno. It was 700 to have the cams installed and dyno'd.

They don't recommend a PC cuz they want you to buy Harley accessories. If your already running a PCIII or better your tech is full of hogwash.
Good question, I'm thinking of doing the same thing to my Lo. Not sure which cams to go with either. What is the difference between the 254 and 255? I've been looking, but not real sure. Will be keeping an eye on this one.
