Well last week I added the hard bags and the bug got me so this week I went ahead and added a few items and I am happy with the results Just don't have any pictures that are updated yet but here is the low down first was the headlight and driving light bezels I went with the set that has the flare and they look great over stock makes a big difference in look they push the front out alot more. Next was the hog deluxe fender bib to cover the naked fender it looks great but the fit was far from what I expected its loose and doesn't form right but the over all look does what I wanted it to do. Next was the grips went with black iso grips I loved the grips on other bikes and the black with the chrome that's on the bars makes them look great only issue I had was some binding I was not able to tighten the throttle wires as much as the grips I had but I believe I found a tightness that works. Then there is the headlight that will be in in the morning after all the talk about hid and led I with budget in mind went with the dual beam option
So what kind of paint did you use and what about clear coat. Is there a better way to get the clear to harden than leaving it in the sun? My experience is that rattle can clear does not harden very well...
It took a few days for them to finaly get the paint smell gone I just kept them in the building it was hot here. I used rustolium primer, primer sealer, gloss black, duplicolor standard gloss black and clear coat. One can each per bag in between was sanding and wiping down after all that a polish and let them sit. Now the paint it not perfect by any means it looks great at a distance and you will really have to look close to see the issues but at around 60$ vs 400$ I can live with it and worse come to worse get them painted later but I am not in a rush now as black is better then the gold

I hear you on the price. The lowest quote I got was $350. For $60 I figure I really can't go wrong. I guess they would need to sit for 4-5 days to harden completley? I just don't want to paint them and then mess up the clear as it has not hardened enough.
