I like the Big city thunder quiet baffles I put in my VH pipes. Here's video clip of before and after.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5qwc7a4frc

Sound doesn't do justice in video almost sounds the same but the Big city baffles give it a deeper mellow sound.

I have the standard and they sound good. They are not as obnoxiously loud as my short shots, but I wouldn't want fatcats any quieter.

Go with the standard baffle. I had the standard baffle in mine and it was quiet compared to my bss pipes. I think the quiet baffle is to quiet.

get the performance baffle;it will work with what you have now,& will allow all engine growth up to, & including the 117ci.

On a stage 1 bike, anything more than a quiet baffle is overkill and is going to cost you low-end torque. My 103 makes 116/116 with a quiet baffle. The baffles are interchangeable, so if you ever go bigger, you only need to swap the baffle.

I agree. there is no need for a performance baffle on a stock 88 or 96 or a 95" or 103" build either. I run a standard baffle on my 95" build with cams and I dig it. The "quiet" baffle is a little deeper but I have seen a few dyno charts where it seemed to choke the exhaust flow causing dips in torque as well. There are no Big City thunder baffles in 4" diameter for a fatcat. The fatcat took me a while to get used to as I was running fishtails without baffles before and everything seemed silent in comparison. The fatcat is anything but quiet, but it took a bit of getting used to.

I pm'ed you my number. Give me a ring.

Drew, any tuner worth his salt can get the dip out. The quiet baffle is what the majority of Fatcat owners should be running, as the bigger baffles are killing their low end. On my build, I might be leaving a few horsepower on the table with the QB, but I'd take a beating down low if I was chasing a number.

You do not need to make noise in order to make power. Especially on a stock motor.
