I was at Orlando Harley this past weekend.
They had a used crossbones there...
You know the king queen seat on the softail? The old school style?
It had that on it... Except thR upright sissy bar was actually a detachable set up... It was pretty neat... Look manufactured not like a custom one off...
So instead of the seat bolting down, it was hooked into the docking hardware???

The springer forks do require more maintenance, but IMHO are well worth the hassle.

I rate the X Bones handling as solid, if not nimble.

I finally managed to find a pic with the sissy bar on there. I also saw the King & Queen seat. That looked fantastic! I was telling myself I'd take it easy on mods at first because I tend to go crazy on every bike I have owned. I haven't even taken delivery on this one and I have planned a few things! OMG my wife is gonna kill me! Only a couple mods to be done when I pick 'er up next week, I swear... Only a couple! LMAO!

Ya right! You say it but you don't mean it

That old saying about "It's easier to ask forgiveness than to ask permission" only applies so many times. I've found out that after a while the two become one in same in the eyes of OL.

Milk it as long as you can. Mod wisely and Mod often.

Can't wait to see it the 1st time you think you are done

Hey! A local boy! I have lots of family in Lakeland. I live in Orlando myself. Got my Bones at Orlando H-D for a steal because it was the last of the 08's.

I just saw one of those H-D King\Queen seats sell on eBay for $89.

17000 miles on mine and the black demium holds up great, my last bike was vivid black and I had to wash it a lot more often, put in the pic to show it's pretty easy to load up for traveling,

I know how you feel, my riding was cut way down when my kids were younger. Congrats on the new bike. Family is important but I know you will find some time.
