i don't know what an allen nut is !! Maybe you are talking about an acorn nut. If so, ace hardware has them in chrome and stainless. Hd also has them in chrome.
You may want to check out Toplinefastners.com They have just about everything you could want, including Polished bolts, allens, etc. And its all show polished. Also look up
DEPSS.com they have a wide variety of bolts, nuts, hex heads, and they are also a great company to deal with. Hope this helps
My little aircraft uses a 582 Rotax engine, and I have stainless socket head screws holding the exhaust manifold on, but I think they are metric. Shouldn't be too hard to find in std. The heat doesn't bother them.
There's a Fastenall store about 35 miles away, called them this morning when I got in from work... fella said they have some stainless ones. I'm gonna go check them out when I get off tomorrow am and take a pic or two for the fella that's never seen one and let you guys know what I come up with. Thanx for all the help. I'm having a heck of a time getting used to mids. I feel like a mole.... LOL
Well butter my butt and call me bisquit!!!! Worked in machine shops since 1968, not pushing buttons, but cranking handles. Never even knew allen nuts existed until reading this thread.
