Default Arlen Ness 3" extension kit problem!

I recently installed the Arlen Ness 3" extension kit on my 2005 Softail Deluxe with stock FLST forward controls. The problem that I am having is with the kickstand. With it being located 3" forward, it now hits one of my primary bolts in the stowed position. Does anyone know of an extended bumper that will allow the kick stand to rest on the primary cover w/bumper and not on the primary bolt? or any ideas for alternative fixes.

I installed this kit last night and the thicker rubber bumper didn't fit my stand. I will send it to you, just PM me.

I did it just before bike week. Couldn't find the instructions in the manual for the rear brake light switch. You might want to get some teflon tape for it. I used loctite on it.

You also may have to drop the exhhaust on the right side, to get to the mount bolts and stuff. The left side is easy. You need to have a stand to hold the bike vertical while you do it, because the kickstand is connected to the forward controls on the softie. I didn't need to chqange out the bumper thingy on the kickstand, ymmv.

What a difference is all I can say. Should've done it years ago.

I did it in about 45min. I didn't have any trouble with my samson true duals being in the way. I had to remove the old brake light switch with some pliers. There was no issue with the wire connectors the position of the switch moved back maybe a half inch at most on my deluxe. It was pretty straight forward. Just have a lift or a helper to hold the bike up so you can do the left side.

The only tip I have is make sure you have quality tools. I didn't have the correct size torx and borrowed one from my neighbor, it busted in half! Those bolts are tight so I had to make a trip to Sears. My exhaust didn't have to come off and the brake bleeding kit from Autozone was clean and simple. Good luck.
