Default Heritage handle bars

How comfortable are the higher handle bars of the Heritage classic and can they be lowered? Thanks.

I found them to be perfectly placed when I had my Heritage. The problem is the motorcycle is not a one size fits all kinda thing. I'm 6'2" and had a Corbin seat. The seat has a bearing on where you end up with the handlebars too.

The handlebars can easily be lowered by loosening the four handlebar clamp bolts and rotating the bars to where you want them.

Here's a tip:

1. Loosen the clamp to the point where the bars are snug, but will still move
2. Have someone hold the bike upright while you sit on it in your normal riding position.
3. Close your eyes and place your hands in your lap for 30 seconds
4. With you eyes still closed, reach up like you are placing you hands on the bars.
5. Bring the bars to the place where you hands ended up with your eyes closed.
6. Retighten the handlebar clamp.

This is your natural riding position, and should give you the most comfortable bar position.

Hope this helps,

Bill

Default RE: Heritage handle bars

Hey HB,
I just ordered an"06" Heritage Classic and am having the dealer change out the stock bars
to the Heritage Softail bars. I don't like the look of the higher classic bars.
Good luck,
