Well I finally got my bike home for the spring and have started my mods. Pulled my bags off today and installed the "gotsaggybags" (well almost installed, the first lid is still drying. Let me tell you, when I got the package I thought it was kinda a rip-off for what I paid, but after seeing the before and after, even without the lid support, it was worth every cent! I know I should have taken a pic, but I'm not taking them back out. I strongly recommend these for any of you Heritage guys.
Yea, I did Boss Bags on mine and I agree. It's the only way to go. You've got to figure that you're saving an $800 set of bags. My brother did his years ago on his '06' Heritage and they still look great. Good choice.
I've got 2 set of bangs. The first set of bags I bought and installed the Soggy Bags kit. Worked out great!.. On the second set of bags, I bought the bag stiffner kit sold on ebay for half the price.... and they also worked out Just as Great as the Soggy Bags kit.
The saggy bags kit worked great for mine too. The only time they suggest it won't work is if your bags have visibly shrunk, I can't see why it wouldn't work on a set of 2k2 bags.
Glad it worked out for you. Thanks for the info. When my bags start sagging...I have a good option. Wonder if there is a kit out there for my other sagging bag?
Pretty much, go to their site, and the before and after pics are exactly how it was for my bags. If you take the time to prep your bags, i think they'd have to be pretty bad before this wouldn't work. I'll try to get some pics up tonight.
I went with the Leatherlidinserts.com kit, and am real satisfied. They look beautiful. Kinda tough to get it all worked in, but it's the final solution.
