A can of Silicone Spray from where-ever it is cheapest will work quite well. It's essentially what the branded products are. Pig Spit, Amorall, S100 etc. What do you suppose S100 stands for? Silicone 100% maybe?

Bingo! you said it before I got here...Anything silicone will do the trick.
