Turn Signal Module bad?
Just replaced my 16-inch apes on my 2000Road King Classic. Lights worked fine before. After running cables through bars my left turn would not work. Used signal tracer, nothing. retraced steps from top turn signal switch, and nothing. Replaced bulbs and now nothing! Only manual turn signal. Checked turn signal module by unplugging and cleaning, nothing. Disconnected switch at top for left and at bottom (ordered new cables and Deutch plugs). Attempted to pull old cable out for left and it was stuck. At the bottom when I cut, I found a nicked cable. Both ends cut off. Ran new left turn signal external and switches at top. Still nothing. Ordered used Turn Signal Module and installed tonight, Right now flashes. Still left does not work (flash) but now comes on and can be manually agitated by pressing left turn signal and I am stumped. I think TSM had something to do with it.
I dunno...
Anyone have a tip.
- Left hand turn signal wiring replaced.
- Left hand side switches all replaced.
- New bulbs both sides.
- Replaced TSM (Turn Signal Module) Right worked until I started then... Nothing.
Please advise, thanks.

I wasn't there for your Ape install... but as an outdier looking in, it seems to be rather simple...
You say everything worked fine.
Then you installed apes, and now things don't work right...
I hate to sound like Captain Obvious, but the problem seems to be in your wiring/install. You either put wires back together wrong and haven't spotted the mistake yet, or you damaged wire(s)/connector(s) during the install.
It would seem that whatever you have changed since the install, WAS NOT the problem...
I would suggests that you use a multi-meter and try to find the issue, rather than just throwing parts at the problem. For example, did you test and find bad switches, or just try new switches on a guess? I learned the hard way that guessing and throwing parts at a problem can get expensive and never actually fix the problem.
It's time to completely re-check your install work. Be systematic, be thorough, and be persistent. Don't add any other new parts, unless you actually find a faulty part that needs replacement.
Others can advise better than me, but you can pull up your electrical schematics on the Harley site. I like manuals, so I always buy a new or used Electrical Diagnostic Manual, along with w factory service manual.
Good luck with your diagnosis, and report back what you find...
I'm sure others will chime in with valuable suggestions/recommendations....

But i appreciate all and any inputs on this. Just want to get out and ride.
