Those bags don't look like a one up, one of a kind. It looks like every other one he's made using the same pattern.
I don't think you've been to the garage leathers site then. He has different shapes, buckle options, colors and hyde's. Me, I wanted a simple black bag with the cool quick release aircraft buckle. It may not be totally unique...but there sure are a hell of a lot fewer around than the one that was being group bought to death.
...and I'll always support the little guy making these in his garage first.
Hi guys, this is Garry from Leather Pros. I've been thinking of making these for a couple years, but I didn't like the idea of selling something that would mess up the paint (straps). After seeing some of the other forum members' hard mount swingarm bags, I came up with an idea to hard mount these things and yet have them detachable in about 20 seconds without tools, leaving only some chrome buttons on the swingarm. Do you guys leave these things on all the time or is detachable something you would like? We might even be able to make a kit that would work on your existing bag. What do you think?
If you go to LW site, you'd see different options are available also.
Yes I looked at both sites before buying and didn't see a $60+ difference in worth for the bag I wanted.
You like the clasp on yours. I don't care for that look and got the one I wanted.
Not sure if you're implying because many have chosen the LW, that makes it a lesser quality bag than one that isn't bought as often?

Agreed......just because its more money doesn't make it any better...I looked at them and my bag is just as nice.
I guarantee I can get in my bag WAY faster than you can...
I'd rather support a guy producing handmade bags rather than some mass produced version any day.
From what I have known of the Leather Works in doing business with them for well over 30 years is they are a small business in Stockton,CA. Used to go to their store on Pacific Ave and watch them as they made my bags and other leather products. I know they have moved into a larger facility but hey they are a local American business. Not putting down any other makers of solo bags they are are great. Just saying don't knock one company when you don't know the facts.
