Thats a great lookin Fat Boy Chris. I had a hard time deciding between the Fat Boy & the Heritage Classic, they're both good looking machines out of the box, but you have really got a nice looking bike, enjoy!
slack, I just changed it out with out any problems, the filter is the exact same so there is really no increase in air flow in my opinion, just cosmetic. I didnt make any changes to my EFI. But I did have it dyno tuned with the stage 1 kit and the pipes installed about a year ago.
Citoriplus, The new air cleaner cover is smaller than the football, it doesnt stick out as far. I would say as a guess its about an inch closer to the bike than the football was. for me it does make getting to the break pedal and highway pegs easier. I think that it would be a good option for you if your looking to get a little extra room.
Once again thanks for all the compliments. I hope im answering everyones questions and if im not just keep asking and ill keep answering.
Thanks alot Chris, you just added one "more" thing to my list of things that need to be swapped out. Now I just have to see if they make one that says 96" or just the HD label without engine size info.
I have the stock baffels in my V&H Big shot staggereds. Im kinda curious why wanted to know? Are you trying to figure something out with fuel/air ratios and such?
I have the quite baffles in mine and wanted to try either the stock baffles, which I have laying around in the garage, or no baffles at all. I want it to be a little louder and was thinking that if I put in the stock baffles, how much louder will it be? Plus, if I put in the stock baffles, I shouldn't have to re-jet my carb. Now, going without baffles, I would have to re-jet.
