Looking to do the 21"/18" wheels on my heritage...they look sick, but can any of the many of you out there, that have already done this attest to the ride quality vs. stock?
Upgraded suspension...guess I should have mentioned that too...wanna lower the bike too...you said you "upgraded"....does that mean lowered at the same time? Any advice there as well?
I run a 21 and 16. Lowered front 2". stock in the rear until I get the fun tickets to install shotgun. Also going to do the intiminators up front. It definatly rides stiffer at this point.

how much stiffer would you say the ride has become?.. uncomfortable in any way?.. after a certain amount of time?
The reason a 2" lowered ride is stiffer has nothing to do with the wheels. It is the distinct lack of that extra 2" of travel from the front forks. A lowering kit will always make the front end feel stiffer, more firm, however you want to explain it.
I do remember when I first put a 21" on the front I noticed that it felt much heavier although I adapted quickly. I jsut put new w3heels on again eysterday and I will let you know how they feel comapred to my others although the only difference in size is an extra .5" wide on the front one. I am waiting for it to get light here.

Fabrikator, The ride is a little stiffer than stock. Of coarse I lost travel on the forks by lowering the 2". I also think the front tire not being as fat as the stock one also give a stiffer ride. Like a low pro tire on a car vs stock. Also like Drew said the front feels heavier with the larger diameter wheel. Only for about 15-20 miles though. I got used to it fast. I also think by putting the shotgun on the back and the Intiminators in front will make a huge difference in the ride. Hopefully soon I will be ordering the stuff from Drew.
