I think your on the right tack. I am actually looking at that same Derby cover. I may just go smooth Chrome though. I'm getting rid of the Willie g skulls. Keeping my diamond plate boards, pegs, etc. I've got some custom part made out of diamond plate in mind also.

Definately do less, but make sure the stuff you do is unique...

I have to agree with you Drew, think your bike looks much cleaner with no bags and no speakers. I was thinking about running speakers but didn't like the look either. I too will have to save up for my streetglide that I plan to add extended hard bags, airide and countless other mods. My checking account really hates this forum lol.

I am thinking about getting this derby cover http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/25338-99A-HARLEY-DAVIDSON-Logo-Derby-Cover-IV-/360338937762?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash =item53e5dfd7a2

And painting the black letter candy red as I want a little more red, but not too much. It still needs to be understated. Maybe some sort of a similar timing cover with the red. That would be it for the red. I don't want it taking over the entire theme.

Thoughts?

Drew

Just a heads up. You can get that derby cover from Zanotti for $31.72. I to like the clean look.

Zanotti is great but if you are ordering a single item the shipping will kill it. I am heading out in a few to tackle all of the wiring and get this finished.

Dude, you need rims like mine on your ride. That would really set it off!

The option of throwing the bags on for long trips is awesome.
Your bike looks sweet stripped down from what it was.
