I think your on the right tack. I am actually looking at that same Derby cover. I may just go smooth Chrome though. I'm getting rid of the Willie g skulls. Keeping my diamond plate boards, pegs, etc. I've got some custom part made out of diamond plate in mind also.
Definately do less, but make sure the stuff you do is unique...
I have to agree with you Drew, think your bike looks much cleaner with no bags and no speakers. I was thinking about running speakers but didn't like the look either. I too will have to save up for my streetglide that I plan to add extended hard bags, airide and countless other mods. My checking account really hates this forum lol.
