Help finding auxiliary lamp bracket for fatboy w/ nacelle
I have a 2000 fatboy with a nacelle kit and I would like to add an auxiliary light bar kit. The problem is my local Harley Davidson parts department sent me home with the wrong kit! I swear they have no idea what they are selling, the kit they gave me wasn't even close to fitting. My dad has the exact same set-up so I know its possible, so does anyone know exactly which kit I need for my application. Thanks in advance for your help!
You have the Road King Style Locomotive Nacelle which is wider then the Fatboy 3 piece Nacelle....I don't think you will find a Aux Bar to fit it unless it were a Multi Fit where you could make it wider.
I just had the same Nacelle added to my 1998 FB and nothing from the old set up fit.
I wonder if the Bar you have is not for a Road King due to the hole spacing?
I'm not sure what's going on in your situation, but that light bar should fit your bike. Maybe the bar was marked with the wrong part # or somehow slipped through quality control? How does the bar compare with your dad's bar?
I have the headlight nacelle with the passing lamp kit and so does a friend of mine. Zero problems with fitment. The mounts are actually wider than the fork sides and require using the supplied spacers. Makes me curious what changes were done in the product line due to the "-07" suffix on the passing lamp kit. Both kits I installed were earlier kits. Part number was 69287-05.

Reason: Added part number.
For non-nacelle headlights, the fork tins behind the headlight on Fat Boys changed in 07 requiring a different bracket and resulted in the -07 designation. The old tins were flat brushed steel, the newer tins are chrome and bubble out slightly. The 69287-07 bar (57852-02A) just has the crossbar further out and should work for pre-07 bikes as well as later models. The older version bar (57852-02) from the 69287-05 kit doesn't work for 07 and later bikes (don't ask how I know). The website and instructions don't mention anything about nacelle equiped bikes though, you may need a different kit.
