Default Help with new tires

Hey all, getting ready for new tires, and just wanted your opinions on what the best tires are for cruisers. I'm wanting WWWs, and performance/looks are more important than price. Currently running stock Dunlop 402s and looking ant Metzlers and the Avon Gangsters. Are the gangsters the widest WW? How do these tires compare to Dunlops? Thanks!

Both are great tires. The Gangsters do have the widest white wall. I ahve never ridden on teh gnagsters and looking at the tread I question how well they will handle on road with grooves as I think they might grab the grooves. I have run the Metzeler 880 WWW's and Avon WWW's along with a Vee Rubber www. I like the Metzelers best out of those I have run for stickiness and looks. The Avon's are actually more expensive too. I get about the smae mileage out of them all. I get about 10K but mileage varies greatly due to numerous variances in tire pressure, road conditions, etc.

Thanks Doc!

Anyone have any experience with the gangsters? Are they groove grabbers? I hear good things about Venoms but wondering if these are as good.

Venoms are fine, nothing wrong with them at all. I have run 2 sets. If yoau re running stock sizes Venoms are great. I was thinking of my front 90/21 stretched on a 3" rim which affects tire wear. I liked the Metz's better as the front had a wider whitewall on the 21". I think the Metzelers have more of a round to them as well meaning the bike will fall into corners easier. Six of one half dozen of the other really in stock sizes.
