Not a cut and dry answer. Depends on the theme of the bike. Overall, can never go wrong with chrome because it blends with everything but on the right bike, black can look better than chrome.
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a f---
I'm 39 and a chrome guy but my next bike will be a black Betty. The chrome is definitely more of a show "pretty" quality while the black definitely classes down but gives it a stronger muscle look! If you stay with black, maybe pc the wheels black too. That would look real good! IMO...
I dont think your engine has enough black on it to warrant the black pipes. Most of the time I would go with black but the chrome looks so good on yours.
I like black but had chrome in the past. I think black does appear to the younger generations. I am 29 and I feel that a chromed out bike is for older guys. Sorry just my opinion. Plus, black is way to easy to keep clean. I guess the color really is based on the "theme" and maybe the younger generation is more into the blacked out bikes. I bought my bike from a 62 yr old guy who spent a lot of money on chrome. I stripped off what I could and sold the chrome on eBay to buy black parts!
