I'm getting ready to list my bike on Craigslist. Which way should have it, full seat and sissy bar or solo? I will post both pictures but what way to have it sit up to sell best?
I'd list it as a solo but also put in there that you have the extra stuff available as well. You can sell the parts off on eBay or Craigslist as is and make a few bucks. But if you just throw them into the deal, you wont make anything extra for them. Expect to only get about 50% of their value anyway...so maybe he can offer them to the buyer for that or a little less. You'll get a convenient sale and he'll get some cheap parts.
I know when I sold my Sportster last year on Craigslist I sold it for $1500 more than any dealer would give me in trade in value. And I was able to hold on to a few parts and sell them on eBay to make a few $$$ more. Good luck!
Why not use the solo setup as your primary pic and the other as one of the additional pics? You can get 12 pics for minimal cost. IMHO if selling a bike sight unseen on a national site like Ebay motors, the more pics you have the better your chances it will sell.
Both pics. If you use photobucket copy and paste the html link under the direct link option used for the forum and you will get huge pics in your ad as well.
